You can't help but be impressed with the screen size. I thought of giving one to a friend with Macular Degeneration. He loves to read and uses a magnifying loupe. However, the size of the keys below would be hard for him to see.
I haven't put the skin on yet but I did put it in my Oberon Dragonfly Pond cover. The DX and the cover add more weight but I can handle it.
Right away though I started having the same problems as I did with the K2 that arrived on Wednesday.

Amazon had said they would call today with a fix. No call and it's 5 p.m. here on the east coast. I don't have a problem with my K1. I've now purchased five Kindles and only the K1s work at 100 percent. I hope Amazon can fix the problem.
