Question on Oberon DX Cover
« on: September 10, 2009, 01:55:59 PM »
I think this may have been asked before but I could not find the thread.  I have a K2 and Oberon cover and just love them both!  I am super happy with the cover because it is really a quality cover and it folds back very easily so I can read with one hand.  My question is... I want to buy an Oberon cover for my mother who has the DX, does the Oberon DX cover fold back easily as well?  Anyone out there that has one could you please let me know your experience since sometimes their are some differences in the leather form cover to cover?  Thank you all in advance!

I own  2 Kindle DX's and 3 Oberon covers. I find that the covers fold back just fine. Just as icely as the Oberons covers I have for my K2.

edited to correct typo .

I only have one Oberon for my KDX, but I was surprised at how easy it is to fold it back. And after repetitive folding, it lies perfectly straight.

Yup, just got my Oberon for my DX (mutters at having straps) and it folds back easily.  I imagine with a little work it'll lie perfectly straight like Annie said hers does.  I'm pretty happy with it so far but it's going to take getting used to after having an Oberon Journal with the Amazon cover slipped into it for my K2.

My River Garden for the DX was initially too stiff to fold back.  With a little patience and bending the cover back a little more each time I used the cover it folded back nicely within a couple of days and laid flat in about a week.

Treating the leather per Oberon's suggestion will also help a lot with any stiffness.
