Product Description
Darkness consumed the world for centuries, under thick black clouds that blocked the sun. Without light, the plants withered and died, and the animals starved. Few survived in this wasteland of night. With a final, desperate effort, the shamans gathered together to form a great chant. They gave their lives to open the clouds and let sunlight shine back on the world.

When the scattered remnants of humanity step from the dark, with nothing but their wits and the waning power of an old shaman to protect them, they are faced with a cracked, lifeless desert. Led by a child, guided by the spirits, their deeds will become myth.

To survive, they must train a new generation of shamans to face the coming dangers. Thirteen students to guide the people into a new age. And, of those students, two young sisters will grow to stand at the heart of a legend.

A thread that captures the objective truth of being an indie. And by objective, I mean summarises perfectly every ambiguous, relative theory ever made by any indie. :P

And you should never, ever respond to reviews...

Except for those times when you should... sometimes...

Unless you're Elle Casey.

And then you should always respond and be magnificent at it  ;)  ;D

God, I hate when we have these Lazarus threads that we dredge up from a year ago! Let's dredge it up again next year, it'll be cool!

And it will all be true.

Unless we all get trad pub deals, which only the brave or the foolish admit to wanting. Not me, though, I wouldn't be caught dead writing a query letter because, you know, trad publishers are all a bunch of thieves out to get the poor unsuspecting authors, unless they offer me a million dollar deal, then they walk on water. Or not, because I wouldn't know a thing about it.

I wish everyone would make their lives easier by using Scrivener.

Unless it would make their lives harder. So they should use Word. Or Calibre. Or Sigil. Or Sigil and Calibre.

But you definitely need InDesign.

Unless you don't.

Best thread ever! Unless you disagree with it, then it isn't.
