Hi, bskelhorn.

Merely wish to mention Lustmord: Anatomy of a Serial Butcher, Vol. #1 (of 6) is perma-free.
http://www.amazon.com/Lustmord-Anatomy-Serial-Butcher-Vol-ebook/dp/B00CC7I5RY

Included the Zon link, but the thing is free all over the place: B&N, iTunes, et al.

RE: Your Friday group therapy sessions: All I can say is: If they aren't in therapy now, they might need it after reading the aforementioned tome. It comes with a disclaimer for this reason. And yes, writing the four hundred thousand-plus horror novel left my own head pretty messed up for quite some time. I stayed with it no matter what, though. I was compelled; I was obsessed. Had a need to do an honest portrayal of this type of human killing machine. Why? Because they exist. Yes, there is plenty of beauty & kindness in this world; but then there is the other side of the coin, etc.

There you have it. Go ahead & mention it to your readers. You might also wish to suggest that they ignore the 1-star bombs left there by "reviewers" who never read the thing. How can you tell when a reviewer never even read the book? Very often it's quite glaring & obvious (in that mention of actual content is skipped over entirely).

Best in all your horror endeavors.  8)

K

HI K,

Thanks for the reply and Lustmord does look interesting.

The reviews make me want to read it more "Not for the faint hearted.. Made it to chapter three"

Wow, thanks for offering such a great opportunity!

Can we submit more than one story, and if yes, would you prefer a 'cooling off' time between them?

Is there a minimum wordcount? (I mostly write novellas, which are sometimes harder to get out there than novels.)

Do you have a preferred format for the ebooks we give out - Amazon gift codes, mobi, epub, PDF...?

Sorry for all of the questions! I'm a horrible over-thinker.  ;D

Hi Darcy,

Yes multiple submissions are fine with a time frame of 4 weeks between submissions.

As we are a short story market novellas are fine also.

We are flexible so what ever format you feel happy with supplying.

Hope that helps.

May it give you nightmares, my friend.   :o

Horror is dead. Long live horror.

A car, with a young mom at the wheel and her newborn in the back, spins out of control & careens down a ravine into a freezing stream. The mother dies on impact, the baby somehow is not only not killed, but survives the low water temperature for 24 hours or more...until she is eventually rescued... This is both horror AND its opposite. True story. Happened only last month.

This is the kind of world we exist in. Mixture of both. Good & bad. Can be trying. We do what we can. More often than not, the horror genre helps us come to terms & deal with the unnerving stuff.

Some don't get horror. I hope this sheds light on it.  :o

Hi All,

On the back of the last few interviews we want to bring your horror tales to our readers with our new Daily Horror posts.

We will showcase your books that are currently FREE to download via Amazon. (on our main site, Facebook page and to our email list)

All that we ask is you take the time to fill out a short interview (with details of your book with a hi-res image and links to it.)

If you are interested please send an email to editor@sanitariummagazine.com with the subject line "Daily Horror".

We will let you know when your book is going to feature and send you a link once it does.

Regards,

Barry
