Hyperlink Help
« on: March 02, 2016, 11:41:04 AM »
Hello.  I am new here.  I posted my Introduction and then I updated my profile and now I am cruising through the site.  I found a place where bloggers can promote their latest post.  I know I can do CTRL+V to paste my URL but is that the best way to do it?  I saw there is an Insert Hyperlink button but I am not 100% sure how to use it and I am having a hard time finding out how to use that button.  Thank you

Within a post, you can simply(?) use a set of [url]...[/url] tags, something like:
Code: [Select]
blah blah [url=http://www.example.com/foo.html]link text here[/url] blah blah blah
It will display like this:

blah blah link text here blah blah blah

If you select your link text and then click that button, it will stick the "url" tags around that text, but then you still need to add the actual url in the opening tag. Or...you can just paste the entire link here and wrap it in the "url" tags, but it's "prettier" to have nice link text. :)
