This is driving me nuts. How to fix?
« on: April 29, 2016, 04:04:13 AM »
Since this afternoon, when I look at the KB, I'm seeing this:

I have to scroll past a loooong menu of crap to get to the threads, and all the links are out of whack, in the wrong place and completely wrongly justified.

Anyone else? How to fix? I've already closed and re-started my browser, and emptied the cache. No banana. This is annoying and butt-ugly. It reminds me of when I used a laptop with a leeeeetle screen and some sites gave me the mobile version. URGH. This is a laptop, but the screen is not that small. The big computer displays the site properly. This one did, too, until this afternoon.

What browser are you actually using, Patty?  And is the link http://www.kboards.com or is it some kind of mobile version of the site?

Have you tried a different browser?  You've emptied the cache, but have you also cleared your cookies?

Hmmm...

Page is only partially loading. Could be a slow connection.
Also try clearing browser cache, or visit KBoards site from a private window (incognito) to rule out problems with account and/or cookies.

Looks like the stylesheet isn't loading properly. Not a lot you can do about that at your end.

Nope. I suspect it was just a temporary blip.

No. I would suggest you refresh by holding ctrl and pressing the F5 key. Ctrl-F5 will reload the page but try to bypass any cached items.

This happens to me on occasion and when it does, its always on my end with my internet. A router issue. We had some issues with ours and it was replaced thankfully.

I don't recall running into that here, but I've seen it several times on some other forums I visit. Usually a page refresh will take care of it (F5).
