Octopig

Hi everyone, today I was searching Amazon and came across this book, and I found since 2013 no one had written a review. It offended my sense of fairness (a childish instinct, I know :D) so I quickly downloaded it and wrote a review.

Please read my review here

and if you like it and feel similarly, well, you know, for a buck ... let's change the world ... or at least make some obscure poet's day!  :D

(P.S. Never met the guy, never heard of him before, no relation, feel free to check my profile, hire a private eye, etc. I just think the stuff is funny and someone who makes the effort and writes so well deserves better than no review in 4 years.)

Here's a sample and I hope he doesn't mind me posting one poem here ...

Seven-Seg Display

An iPhone is all well and good, but way back in the day,
We all got quite excited by the seven-seg display.
Four downwards lines, three sideways, and two small squares result,
Displaying digits causing number-lovers to exult.
Technology's replaced it, new stuff's always in emergence,
But surely times are right now for a seven-seg resurgence.
The calculator brought a thrill that never will be sated -
Writing words like 'BOOBLESS' on the readout when rotated.

You didn't actually say in your review if you liked it or not. Sure, you gave it 5 stars, but was it because it had no reviews or because it was quite entertaining????

You have a point. I thought that 5-stars would make it clear I loved it, but I edited my review to make it more obvious.

I also assumed that everyone else would realise the awesomeness but humour ... it's a funny thing.

This looks awesome. I'm a huge fan of poetry (and I write it myself) and I remember how hard it was to get people to review. Definitely going to download this and review it.

And that name? Intrigued me enough to click on the thread.

As a fellow 'octo' writer myself, I appreciate his effort and hope he has retired a multi-octillionaire!
