Which is a better title for my ebook
« on: April 20, 2017, 11:53:30 PM »
As the volume 1 of my series ebook on pregnancy, I'm considering the following titles,

12 Brain Science Lessons during Pregnancy That Change Your Baby' Life
12 Psychological Lessons during Pregnancy That Raise Your Baby' Brain

Which is better?

Further, am not sure here "during pregnancy" or "for pregnancy" is more natural. Could anyone please give me any suggestions?

The first one, but I feel the title is still missing something.
Maybe '12 Brain Science Lessons during pregnancy that will change your baby's life.'

12 Brain Science Lessons during Pregnancy That Changes Your Baby' Life
12 Psychological Lessons during Pregnancy That Raise Your Baby' Brain

I'm not keen on either, sorry.

"Brain science" is quite... vague for a non-fiction book. "That changes" isn't correct, and "raise your baby's brain" is kind of bizarre. They also sound like things to do for your baby while you're pregnant, which makes me think they're exercises and not really lessons.

I'd use something like "12 psychological exercises to boost your baby's brain" as a subtitle, and maybe something like "Early Start" as the headline title.

Too long. I lost interest. So will the readers.

Are you really trying to figure out a title for a real book? Not trying to be an ass, but I'm skeptical.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the series is about things to do for your baby while you're pregnant, but they're not exercises, because what a pregnant mother does (e.g., eats) or feels during pregnancy directly changes her own physiology and produces chemicals which reach the baby in the womb..

But thank you! Early start is great, and you reminded me that I can use a subtitle.

Right, it is too long... what about Psychology for Pregnancy? and I can use the longer one as the subtitle.

OK, I'll play along. You are writing a book about helping mothers improve their child's brain capacity and/or their life, right? I'd be inclined to try and tell the reader what they will get, something more along the lines of "Boost Your Baby's Future" or even "Boost Your Baby's Future During Pregnancy."

Right, that's what I want to tell the reader. Thank you for your suggestion. I'm now considering the following two:

PSYCHOLOGY FOR PREGNANCY: 12 Lessons to Boost Your Babys Brain during Pregnancy
PSYCHOLOGY FOR PREGNANCY: 12 Lessons to Boost Your Babys Future during Pregnancy

You asked the same question on the KDP forum and got some helpful answers. I would remind you again that there are thousands of books dealing with various aspects of pregnancy, and unless you are well qualified in the subject and can prove that these techniques work, you may struggle to get sales.

You need something way more punchy! A big grabby headline and then the long bit as a subtitle.

GIVE YOUR BABY A HEAD START!
Brain Training During Pregnancy
12 Psychology Lessons that will help you nurture your baby to full potential

Something like that anyway.

When it's published, please give it a read. You'll see what I mean.

Thank you everyone for helpful suggestions. I've decided the title as Psychology for Pregnancy and now considering the subtitle.
Could you please vote for me here about which subtitle is better?

The option pair changes and I would appreciate it if you vote 4-5 times.
