WOW!!! Looking forward to the panels this year, utterly SHOCKED I've been nominated for Author of the Year. Don't really feel like I deserve that, but wow, that's just . . .my face hurts right now okay from smiling too hard!

This was a good week to get such good news!

Thanks Julie for running this every year.

My goodness, I just popped into this thread to check the list and congratulate the nominees, and saw my name there! I did *not* expect that. For some reason it's under General Fiction rather than Historical Fiction, but I'm not complaining :). Thank you, mysterious nominator, and congratulations to all.

I'm shocked to see my book nominated. Not surprised to see my name misspelled. Sigh.

I didn't even bother to open this thread all day because I didn't think it had anything to do with me. Thank you.

Thanks Julie for running this award event. It's such a great way to showcase indie books and it has all the gravitas and prestige equivalent to all the awards that shut out indie books. I wish it is more well-known by the publishing world and the public at-large.

Good luck to all the nominees!!!!

That is the great thing (and biggest problem) with the competition. You learn about all of these great books you may have missed otherwise!

Any nominee that wants the nominee logo with a transparent background, just email me at efestivalofwords@bardsandsages.com and I will make sure you get it.

Didn't know I had a book on the list until I got a note on Facebook.  Thanks for including me, and congratulations to all the finalists :)
