The name of the post pretty much sums it up. I'm looking for recommendations for premade PNR and UF cover artists who can hit the genres right on the head. Ready to replace my homemade cover!

Thanks in advance!

I've got some PNR and UF premades in my gallery if you want to take a look and see if anything fits your story. Mostly things like shapeshifters and vampires, aesthetics like a young couple paired with full moon or bloody sky imagery, so not sure it fits the book in your signature (which judging from the blurb, reads more like Twin Peaks meets X-Men - intended as a compliment, btw). But if you want to shoot me a pm with more specifics about what you're looking for, I might have something suitable that's just not up on my site yet. I'm kinda The Worst at updating my site so I always have a bunch more covers on hand that just haven't made it online yet.

Thanks for helping me procrastinate! I found some good YA-looking covers over at Coverquill -- they have varying levels of "this is fantasy/PNR" but they all have very decent typography (way more important than it sounds) and look like they'd work in thumbnail.  Best of luck!

Here are my UF and PNR premade pages (the two genres are mixed on the same 2 pages):

I don't always have that many as I get busy with custom orders, or one person can suddenly come and purchase all of them...but I actually have quite a bit up at the moment.  I've designed covers in both genres that made it to the top 100 in their category.

Thank you guys!

I've struggled to figure out what to do coverwise with my book. It's right on the line between PNR and UF. There is a strong central love story, but it's central core is UF coming into powers story about the MC, combined with a murder mystery.

The MC is 17, and the naked ABS guy on the cover you see on a lot of PNR won't work. It's also not shifter, vampire, etc. It is a bit Xmen. It's super powers, but not in heroes in suits. And, If I went the UF route, with the magic girl on the cover, I'm not sure that would get the romance aspect across.

Anyway, something with fire and lightning in some form is important, as that's part of the plot. Other than that, as long as it's dark haired people doing genre things on the cover, I'm all ears!

Based on the last post you made on this thread:

http://www.rockingbookcovers.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Dreadfull-200x300.jpg A little on the 'dark' side but love RBC's covers.
http://raynebookcovers.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/gooddess-of-fire.jpg Kind of like your first one ish? hehe

So the only thing I would caution (and you can completely ignore this if you like, I just wanted to share our experience/trouble with using a premade) is it looks like this is part of a series and not a stand alone title? Based off your in-progress bars - is that you'll want to keep a brand consistency with the covers - so I would ask the artist if they have some kind of deal or service where they can maybe make a set of series covers based on the premade you choose to go with.

Honestly, it's better to spend the money now (if it's about money, again if not, please ignore me lol), than to repeat the process and spend more later. Lots of services use PayPal for their invoicing and you can get 6 months no interest on purchases over $99 (I don't know if everyone gets this so YMMV but it's worth looking into) if cost is an issue. I know how hard the process is especially when you have a mix of genres/elements, I wish you the best in finding a cover that works! :)

Not sure of your budget but Vividcovers had a 3 book set for UF/PNR with lightning or some sort of magical light anyway :)

I'm hoping to get some more premium UF premades up soon, possibly this week. If I do, I'll update here. I currently do have one available. Because I use the same amount of digital painting as in my custom covers, I tend to only have a couple in stock at any given time and they go fast. In terms of custom, UF is my bread and butter, but I understand the need to use premades to save a bit of cash.

Here's a taste of my style - a WIP cover for an upcoming book of my own:

James at goonwrite.com sometimes has good UF premades, but he tends not to create covers in series (though he's super easy to work with if you find a cover you like and want a series made out of it).

Your paranormal/fantasy selection is fantastic. There's some really great choices there! Also appreciate you featuring premades with WOC. You just might tempt me away from my usual cover artist! :)

Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement! Though stock model resources are very scarce for WOC, as you probably know, which is why you see so few premade covers for that on most designer cover sites.

I saw this one while browsing today, and thought of you!

It's from thebookcoverdesigner.com (I think she goes by plumstead on the forum?)

I'd also add that I've worked with both Heather and Melody and they are both fantastic! Can't recommend enough.
