Looks like I picked the wrong weekend to travel from NY to Georgia. I hope some of you do get to see this. I have seen the Northern Lights before and hope to again at some point.

WOW! Seriously? You can see the Northern Lights in Iowa?

Amazing.

I've not seen them except in Alaska, but there are reliable reports of aurora being sighted in Hawaii back in the 19th Century!

Unfortunately only in the northern half, which I guess is apropos! Not visible down here in my southeast corner of the state. :(
