Hey, that's great. I'm looking forward to the day when I can join you. I find your cover very intriguing, but I also notice that its white background blends into the Amazon page, and so it doesn't look like a book cover. If that's your goal, it worked, if not, you might consider a border, or an off white background.
Also, I've seen many people refer to themselves here as "prawns." I finally got around to googling it, and though I did find several interesting definitions, I didn't find an answer that makes sense in this context. Can you help out a puzzled old person with this new-fangled language?

Congrats! Welcome to the wonderful world of being a published author.

A prawn is a very small self-publisher scrabbling away at the very bottom of the great Amazon ocean. You will also hear of plankton (even smaller) and perhaps lobster (slightly larger). As opposed to the whales frolicking in the sunshine far above (mega-sellers). Calling oneself a prawn is just shorthand for 'not selling much'.

I had not considered that because, 'duh, of course it's a book cover!'
I'm going to take your advice and define the edge of that sucker.
Thanks so much!

More congratulations from here. It's a big step--bigger than I think many people realize who have not yet taken it. In truth, it's tiny--you just click a button. But hunting down every t to cross it, and every i to dot it, then having the confidence to take the risk, that's the big part. It's a bit akin to deciding to attend a formal party, choosing your look and your partner, having everything just so ... but you still have to take a breath before you open the door, right?
