A ruthless murder and a stolen shipment of gold.

At school, sixteen-year-old Nikaia Wales endures the taunts of bullies who call her a “half-breed.” At home, she worries about how her family will react if she reveals her growing feelings for the quiet boy next door.

Those are soon the least of her troubles. Nikaia discovers a hidden cache of gold, and when police find a corpse nearby, her father becomes a suspect. Worse, Elias Doyle is circling, hungry to avenge his brother’s death.

Nikaia desperately searches for clues to save her father. In her quest to find the killer, she learns about the power of family, friendship, and young love....

I'm so excited! I just saw my first Facebook ad for books!
« on: August 17, 2017, 04:53:17 AM »
As I mentioned before on another thread I have yet to be targeted with an ad for books, despite the fact that probably at least a quarter of my 'like' pages are for books and authors. Until today, that is! For the first time, there's an ad in my facebook feed for a mystery series! I clicked on the 'why am I seeing this' to find out about the targeting that finally included me in something and got this:

One reason you're seeing this ad is that ________ wants to reach people interested in Crime fiction, based on activity such as liking Pages or clicking on ads.
There may be other reasons you're seeing this ad, including that _______ wants to reach people ages 40 and older who live in Czech Republic. This is information based on your Facebook profile and where you've connected to the internet.

Apparently the series in question is set in various European capitals, so for once I'm not overlooked! :D
