Harry Potter in Motion
« on: September 08, 2017, 07:17:57 AM »
I just got this email from Radio Times about the new Harry Potter in Motion edition on Kindle and one-clicked the heck out of it:

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-09-08/youll-feel-like-youre-actually-in-hogwarts-with-this-new-animated-harry-potter-e-book/?utm_source=Adestra&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=&utm_campaign=RT%20Daily%20E-mail%2008%2F09%2F2017%2011%3A24%3A00_61842_Radio%20Times_RadioTimes.com%20Newsletter

I feel like this is what Kindle in Motion was made for!  I heard this talk once from a bunch of scientists who said that Star Trek made them want to go into science and that a lot of their years were spent bringing the items in the show to life.  I feel like twenty years ago, someone read about all the cool stuff in Hogwarts and was like, "I WILL MAKE THIS A REALITY!"

Harry Potter in Motion certainly looks beautiful!

My question is, do you think all the wonderful imagery will distract readers from the story? Would it affect your immersion?

Regardless, it is gorgeous and could certainly be a boon to younger readers.
