It also helps to have a list of possible scenes for when I write myself into a corner, or run out of steam.

I've written about 9,200, which is actually good for me. Having a looming deadline and word count quotas really helps. So does the "stats" page. My main goal in this is overcoming my overanalyzing and my tendency to edit as I write, slowing down the whole process. Regardless of whether or not that makes the quality better, it isn't good for my life, my health, and my emotional state to write so slowly, with so much perfectionism and doubt. It's not good physically either, because it involves so much more time sitting in front of a computer and rereading/rewriting what I already wrote instead of writing new copy.
Anyway, the 9k is in addition to about 25k I had already written. (I don't count those words in my NaNo words, obviously.) So when I am done, I'll have about 75k.
