A ruthless murder and a stolen shipment of gold.

At school, sixteen-year-old Nikaia Wales endures the taunts of bullies who call her a “half-breed.” At home, she worries about how her family will react if she reveals her growing feelings for the quiet boy next door.

Those are soon the least of her troubles. Nikaia discovers a hidden cache of gold, and when police find a corpse nearby, her father becomes a suspect. Worse, Elias Doyle is circling, hungry to avenge his brother’s death.

Nikaia desperately searches for clues to save her father. In her quest to find the killer, she learns about the power of family, friendship, and young love....

New Fire with a Game Problem
« on: November 10, 2017, 03:49:52 PM »
Hey, all. My husband and I both use a Kindle Fire. He just got a new one, his second. I am using my second one, and we are a generation apart. His is generation 8 and mine is generation 7.

He would like to play Angry Birds Friends. But he can't. He gets ads for it, but cannot add it to his Fire. It is loaded on mine, the generation before his. But he still sees ads for it, so we assume by that that he could get it, but he can't.

Does this make sense? Hope so. Would it be simply that his generation cannot load that game? Are they not compatible? I don't understand why he can't load this in.

He is very frustrated and we're both confused by this. Can you help?

Is your husband side loading the app from somewhere other than Amazon app store? If so, be sure his Fire is set to allow Apps From Unknown Sources. On my Fire that setting is found under the Applications menu option.

No, we only use Amazon for these apps. Thanks for trying, though.
