Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle
« on: December 09, 2017, 06:59:22 AM »
So DH got tickets to the special Amazon Prime showing last night. I wasn't expecting much. I have not seen any of the previous Jumanji films so I have no basis for comparison...
While some of the movie was definitely predictable, I spent a lot of time laughing. I especially got a kick out of the Rock being an insecure nerdy guy. Since I go to movies to laugh, this one was a winner for me.

I really enjoyed the original with Robin Williams and have watched it several times. I'm glad they went in a different direction with this one. If it's humorous, I'll most likely see it when I can rent it on Amazon.

Hi Andra, I have been on the fence about this one.  One preview was a dud, but the other had some funny moments.  Hearing you say that it surprised you, I think I'll give it a chance too.  Thanks.

The original was amazing, the new movie looks like it will be great, it has a good strong cast on board and that will make for a great movie.
