Oasis 2 not connecting with headphones
« on: December 27, 2017, 07:40:01 AM »
I am having a horrible time connecting to blue tooth.  I just bought a nice headset a couple of weeks ago with Amazons lighting deals.   It connects great with my iPad and my iPhone.  Wont connect to the Oasis 2.

It has a power off and power on.  I can continually hold the power button down and it still doesnt connect.

I have restarted the Oasis, I have restarted the head phones.  Nothing.

Would like your input.

Sorry for duplicating but also posted on Mobile Reads forums

What brand and version of bluetooth is it, Amy? 2.0 3.0 or 4.0? sometimes I notice that 2.0 headphones don't catch on certain devices. Is it a over the ear or in the ear individual bluetooth earphones? The latter it sometimes helps to just bluetooth one onto the device and the other one connects after (notice this on my Android sometimes).

Solved the problem.  Went to the manufacturer web page.  I had to hold down 3 buttons; power, volume up and volume down to manually connect.

Then I tried voiceview and it was like the machine went crazy.

I think I will stick with my Kindle for reading text.

I do like audible.  I bought Stephen Kings The Stand and the Shining, both Audible and EBook.  The Oasis sounded great.  But I still would like to be able to read at the same time.
