A ruthless murder and a stolen shipment of gold.

At school, sixteen-year-old Nikaia Wales endures the taunts of bullies who call her a “half-breed.” At home, she worries about how her family will react if she reveals her growing feelings for the quiet boy next door.

Those are soon the least of her troubles. Nikaia discovers a hidden cache of gold, and when police find a corpse nearby, her father becomes a suspect. Worse, Elias Doyle is circling, hungry to avenge his brother’s death.

Nikaia desperately searches for clues to save her father. In her quest to find the killer, she learns about the power of family, friendship, and young love....

Yep. now it works.  I was just clicking the "select" button and not actually copying the generated link to my clipboard, so I was pasting the raw URL address instead of the generated string containing the nested img 's.

How are people creating image links that take you directly to the "I’d like to read this book on Kindle" link in Amazon rather than just to the DTB page?  I am guessing that you change the part of the link and copying the I'd like to read this book on Kindle link on the Amazon page.  I'm not a HTML programmer so I'm just guessing. I'm going to paste my guess below and maybe I will be right.

First the original link to the Book Page:

Now a link to the I'd like to read this Book on Kindle url (I hope  :-\ ):

At the top of the page you will see the KindleBoards link-maker. Click on that and it's very easy to create the book cover links. KindleBoards will also receive a small percentage of any sales that result from someone clicking the link.

I found out about the link creator and was using it to create the links.  I didn't know about the sales arrangement though - that's good to know - Thanks.
I was trying to use the link from the link creator to link directly to the I want to read this book on Kindle link.  And I think I've got down.

Yep, for books that are not Kindleized, you can still use the link maker... You just need to change the drop-down menu from Kindle Store to Books. If anybody needs help with this, please send me a PM.

I tried the link maker 2 (and 1 for that matter) to create a picture link to this book The Little Lady Agency and the Prince but couldn't even find it in Link Maker 2

Text Link from Link Maker Version 1:

Thanks, I see what I did wrong in v1 now, I wasn't reading the instructions carefully enough.  Still not sure how to get this book to work for v2.

Still not sure how to get this book to work for v2.

Some Kindle books do not show up in the Amazon database that the v2 link-maker uses. There is no workaround, which is why v1 is still available.

Your original post didn't show the picture because you chose the wrong link address. Image link addresses from Amazon end in .jpg.

I am trying to use the linkmaker to make a link to the kindle version of "still alice," by Lisa Genova, but it keeps telling me no such thing is found. Help?

The Link-Maker 2.0 uses a database that does not have all of the Kindle books in it. Unfortunately, no such database currently exists. You can use the original link-maker 1.0 and create the link manually. There is a link to that at the right side of the Link-Maker page.

Hi Harvey--

I used the link maker a few times to link to my two books--however the last two days, it doesn't find either of them...not sure if it is Amazon search engine (although their link seems to work when I post on their forum).  I tried the ASIN number, the title and my name...any ideas?  I'll try them!

Full name is:  Maria E. Schneider

Books: Sage: Tales from a Magical Kingdom

Catch an Honest Thief

I'll try again in a few days--oh-I was trying the link feature from the bargain books thread.  It might be thread specific?  maybe the thread is too full!!!!

best,
Maria

Link-maker is not thread specific.  I too tried to find your books with link-maker and was not successful.  I even tried searching in books and all but neither search pulled them up.  I was, however, able to find them by klicking on your link in your signature.

Harvey posted in another thread earlier today that he's been very busy with work.  Perhaps one of the other mods will be able to help you.

For some reason my two Kindle books don't show up in Link-maker (Widow's Tale and Rogue Wave), yet the paperback shows up.   They used to.  So I'm not sure what's happened.
