Someone needs to remind Amazon that "ready by the 15th of each month" generally implies they're sent out on the 15th. I'm sure they're read, sitting all snug and happy on a hard drive, while some maniacal Amazon overlord laughs into his coffee mug, "Muahhahah, I'll make those neurotic authors wait ANOTHER DAY! BWAAHAAHAHHA."

Maybe this is when they add in the Christmas bonuses.

Amazon posted a notice that they were having trouble getting the report ready and were trying to have it for Monday.

David, is this the month when Amazon will "deliver" on your amazing free sales surge?  The bonus sales from free books?

Hypothetically. Once it is in the bank account, they can't take it back!

Wrong. They overpaid me once and then took the overpaid amount out of the next month.

They just hold the overpayment out of the next check. (Or the next several checks until you're even.)

Sorry, David. I should have left you floating on that cloud.

Has anyone received the payments from the UK sales yet? I haven't got any since they separated them in September.

I received a weird small amount from UK sales. (about a month ago) I sent two e-mails already and both responses were the same. "We are working on it".  ???

I think they were separated because we were only getting 35% and they paid all of that in one check.

My guess is that we'll be getting both UK and US money in the same check/deposit from now on since we're on the same royalty rate.

Not a one - but my Sept and Oct royalties were MINIMAL (that's a nice way to put it, right?).

Like you, Karen, my U.K. sales are pretty minimal. Good choice of words. Let's hope the November report does indeed show up on Monday, five days late, but at least we'd finally have confirmation on sales and royalties.

Here's what Amazon has to say:

The Prior Months' Royalties sales report, normally scheduled for release on the 15th of the month, has been delayed.

We originally expected these reports to be delivered by December 20. Unfortunately, it's taking us longer than expected. Our engineers are working hard to resolve this and expect them to be available by Friday, December 24. Rest assured that your accrued royalties are un-impacted by this delay.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,
