Celebrating a personal milestone
« on: December 21, 2011, 09:45:23 AM »
For the very first time, my monthly royalties will be enough to pay my mortgage.

Now, to be fair, my house is not expensive. I bought it well after the economy crash, and it's a petite 3 bedroom, 2 bath love den on an acre of desert, so it's not like a Dalgish palace with a pond in the back. ;) But I can pay my mortgage... WITH MY WRITING.

Like, that thing that happens when my fingers mash a keyboard and my forehead bangs on the desk. That thing.

THAT THING IS PAYING MY MORTGAGE.*

mind = blown

*In two months when Amazon payments catch up, but whatever, still exciting

Congrats! That's amazing.

I reached a personal milestone, too - my Amazon and Smashwords profits have reached the $1 mark! Hooray!

Yeah, I'm absurdly pleased with myself. 3 sales (2 amazon, 1 smashwords) on two products in two weeks pleases me.

That's awesome! For a few months now I've been letting Amazon royalties pay my bills. My husband is completely amazed.

I say we go crash the Dalglish palace and celebrate!
