I have some contrast issues so it's hard for me to read the title of the new covers. The 2nd D in androids and the RS in Mars (esp the S) need more contrast.

Copyright doesn't get extended to the life+ of who you transfer the copyright to. It's the life+ of the author. Because some authors happen to be corporations (who can "live" forever), they have a specific amount of years rather than life+.

Also, you don't have to formally copyright the books. They are under copyright the minute you write them.

I'm sure some one will come along with better details on copyrights, but you probably should talk to a professional estate lawyer and a professional intellectual property lawyer.

Patty Jansen has a good book on mailing lists - Mailing Lists Unboxed.

They look good. The one thing I noticed is that it looks like 2 of the books are a series - or at least there is an order to read (based on a customer comment). But I didn't see anything that told me the order or that they were a series. Maybe I missed it.

I agree that captcha is a problem, especially on mobile.

But I guess I'm old or something. Because I like confirmation emails. It ensures that someone else didn't type in the email address (which I used to see happen a lot back in the good old days). But more importantly, it ensures that I typed my email address correctly. Which is sometimes difficult to do on mobile.

Pretty much every site I sign up to does the confirmation email. Not sure why it's an issue for mailing lists.

Personally, I just wish they'd let me put a priority number (or letter) on our friends, pages, and groups. That would tell them which things are most important to me. Rather than their attempt to figure me out by my "likes" - which are not consistent and actually not very indicative of my preferences or priorities.

It occurs that I didn't answer your question. I write on my desktop or laptop. My writing often sends me to prior chapters to change something based on where my pants have taken me. Often. I markup edit in the evening on my iPad, which means I need an epub file for iBooks. That's why I compile that often.

I'm curious as to why you don't use Google Docs (app) on your iPad? Is it something like putting it in a different format so you can spot things better?

Also, how do you do markup edit in iBooks?

SFR and FR are like the unicorns to me. So so hard to find the good stuff. I agree with Rosie on not being able to find fantasy romance much in the store, its all full of shifters. SFR is pretty similar, full of shifters and porn. Often not even having any SF in it at all. I have read very little FR for that reason, Grace Draven I liked also.

SFR at least has some blogs out there, but I can't often trust if something is actually SFR or just SF with some romantic elements in it, which is not the same. There are also a lot off shorts/novellas out in the genre and I don't read shorts or novellas. Then when I finally do find something it tends to lean to erotic romance. Nothing wrong with that, I read them fine. Just not every single darn time.

I think there is a hungry audience for SFR and FR out there, we just have a hard time finding them in the sea of mis-categorized. I have pretty much completely stopped browsing the kindle store for reads, for any subgenre of romance.

I find this interesting. I would assume (corrections welcome) that FR is basically romance in a fantasy setting/plot. Fantasy is pretty broad. So, would an example of a FR unicorn be a well written romance set in a medieval magical environment? Or, is there something else involved?
