Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting (Kindle) / Re: Kindle Krash
« on: October 08, 2013, 06:13:32 AM »
Many Thanks to both Members. The 40 second trick is working it appears, but what happens to all my "stuff". Actually its coming back by degrees so I will digest advice and do the best thing which is obviously to remove some content.
I am going to be upgrading shortly to a Fire so presumably I can keep this old E ink just for my own files and trials that I send via my Kindle address?
Thanks again for prompt response...I am forever in your debt ;D

Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting (Kindle) / Kindle Krash
« on: October 08, 2013, 02:18:46 AM »
Hi Guyz...great to be part of the Kindle community. My Kindle E ink has crashed and need some help as to options.
It's 18 months old and has performed well so far.I have noticed in recent weeks that it has slowed down.Is this perhaps because it is reaching its memory limit?(Have 1,020 approx books and files)
It crashed this morning when attempting to access an amazon Author page link from within the book I was reading.
Any help would be very much appreciated, since I'll be in the funny farm by the end of the day I shouldn't wonder ;D
Thanks

The Book Corner / Re: What’s your Best Stephen King book?
« on: October 01, 2013, 08:49:23 PM »
At the risk of being drummed out of the Stephen King Fan club I have to admit that,as of now, have not read any of King's fiction.I remember seeing a movie several years ago that creeped me out; I think it was The Stand.Fast forward to my discovery of Kindle 18 months ago and things started to change as the Kindle Indie Club seemed a good place to hang out. Then POOF a Stephen King memoir took my fancy.
On Writing  by King is a fascinating book for any aspiring writer who needs some encouragement. I'll definitely pick up some of his work before too long. There must be a wealth of writing expertise to peruse and learn from.
