Product Description
With the odd disappearance of her parents, Gussie Gibson has lived her entire life with her granny on a peaceful pecan orchard, owned by the meanest man in all of Georgia—Mr. J.P. Combs. Granny teaches Gussie many valuable life lessons as a black woman growing up in the still-segregated south. Mr. Combs is an evil underhanded banker who takes liberties beyond his privilege. When Granny dies, Combs informs Gussie she owes him back rent—but he wants much more than money for payment—and more than Gussie can live with.
After defending herself against his sexual advances, Gussie flees to escape certain vigilante justice when she meets a charming, handsome stranger, Sam Johnson, who is just returning from World War II.
Gussie and Sam’s friendship is short-lived when Mr. Combs hunts her down and drags her back to Green Ridge, driven by his craving for revenge and a grudge too deep to comprehend. Gussie fights to return to Sam and his lo...

Bump because those reviews got taken off from my book. I assumed they are off from yours as well, OP.

Were they free at one point?
No, they weren't. Though when I clicked on the Name, I saw that he/she had many, many reviews exactly like that. I think he/she probably thought that it was a necessary step to complete the transaction when buying items online or somethin'. ;D

Lol, you got that too? Same thing happened to me, on two pen names no less! Yeah, I think that person went on a rampage and bought many books.

After that many years attending community college...it's time to move on. If college isn't your thing, then it isn't your thing. Earning a four year degree isn't easy. It requires dedication, sacrifice, and lots and lots of time. I know. I spent 5 years earning my engineering degree at UC Davis. But, for me, it was absolutely worth it.

It's beyond me how you're going to live on $1000/month (if you could even earn that much via your writing) in Southern California, but the choice of lifestyle is entirely yours.
If he is living with his parents, he doesn't need to pay rent. Without rent, $1000/month is very doable. That being said, how much is he earning from writing right now?

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that.
If I'm not mistaken, you have about 17 titles. Maybe you should create an AuthorCentral account so that readers can find your other titles easier.

Are you making enough money right now as a writer, OP?

Wow - if one person calls you a scammer, then maybe you're not - but if everyone, as a consensus calls you a scammer, then maybe it's time for a little introspection...

Oh wow, you are really doing it. 24 books for 60$, so theoretically if you have 2400 books, you will earn 6000$. That being said, if Amazon decides to shut down your account due to some violations, you will earn 0$. There goes all the money that you put in for outsourcing.
Good luck lol.

The weekend was a bit slow at Amazon for me, but December started normal.
You have 60-something books. I think that your sales and borrows are pretty much steady all month right?

Are you doing fine again?

Then are your borrows also slow as well? Or is it just paid sales?

Yea, i think with all the extended discussion going on here it is pretty clear that for most of us, KU has been a huge punch to the gut. I don't even think it has been good for amazon. But that is a separate discussion and another topic.

I finally got one sale. lol WOW. Only 19 more to go for my low end average lol
KU? I thought you are talking about Paid Sales.

Today is absolutely horrible. I'm wondering if Amazon made another algo change. I'm sitting at zero which has never happened. Usual around 20-30
Ouch! Seriously? You went from 20-30 sales day to zero? That just goes to show how unpredictable this business is. Today I am also suffering as well. Down 50%- 60% than usual.

Writers' Cafe / Re: How do I know if I'm in KU?

It's on your book's Amazon product page, not on your bookshelf in KDP.
If your book is in KDP Select, there should be a "Manage Benefits" link under the KDP Select column in your bookshelves. If not, there should be an "Enroll" link.

In order for Amazon to send you a check, your royalty has to be $100 or more right?

In November my sales have been squishy and saggy across all channels. On the plus side I've gotten some rocking reviews. And I've never had a return in three years.
You have never had a return in three years? Wowowowowow. You are god, my friend. God!

Writers' Cafe / Re: What's your BKnights ROI?

Even if the promotion was run by bots (which is highly unlikely), I will still use Bknights. Spending $5 to get myself to the top of a Free sub-genre is such a good deal.

Writers' Cafe / Re: KU Crushed My Sales :(

Wow, I have no idea that putting your works in KU is so risky. You know what? I think I am going to create a new pen name and spread it out to other stores to test the water.

I think the visibility that you get from hundreds of people are more important than a measly couple dollars from $0.99
