Thanks Betsy for the welcome, though I did nearly have a heart attack as I read it! ("oh darn, I've posted this self-promotion in the wrong...oh wait, it's in the right place.  Good :)").

looking forward to posting more and will certainly bookmark the necessary!

Thanks for the welcome Shane too

The Book Corner / Re: Did it bother you that Tom Cruise played Jack Reacher?
« on: September 22, 2013, 11:11:40 AM »
I have to admit, Tom did do a good Jack Reacher despite the obvious height difference.  He had the 'violence' down to a tee and I thought he did the character justice.  True, I was not expecting to be saying that.  Reacher, he a big man!  But Tom did good.  Plus it helped that the rest of the cast knew what they were doing as well.  A good watch.

Surely we should be used to this happening now?  I've not checked my facebook page yet so fingers crossed it's not too different now.  We'll see how this change pans out, you never know, could work out better with the larger images.

Something a little different for you all :).  The stories are a combination of fantasy, mystery, crime-fiction and humour, centred around the main character of Victoria Haldred, an investigator for the Council of Peace.  Comments much appreciated.

The Book Corner / Re: humor recommendations?
« on: September 21, 2013, 02:08:33 AM »
Terry Pratchett has been mentioned right?...Sorry I only skimmed through the recommendations so not sure if i picked up his name.  The man has got the skills.  Of particular recommendation, if you like a little detective-crime action, is 'Feet of Clay', one of his earlier works.
