Thank you for your help! I will do this as soon as I get home this afternoon.  :)

I noticed this week while reading a new book on my K2 that some phrases are high lighted (barely, but annoying) and I don't use that feature. Has anyone noticed this with their Kindle2? I just finished reading the book "Water for Elephants" and all through out the book were high lights with numbers. Numbers like 74, 89, and 104! What is going on? What should I do about this? It is annoying reading with faint lines under sentences and I did not put them there. Help Kindle friends.  :o

I look out my window and what does my wondering eyes see? A FedEx truck parked in front of my house! Oh Joy! It came! It came! I got my M-Edge Guardian cover. I opened the package and read the directions. I gave it a test like it said to and it passed with flying colors! Bubble bath time tonight! Can't wait for the summer, I am going to use it on the beach and while I float in our pool.  :D

Let's Talk Kindle! / Re: Kindle books now outselling paperbacks on Amazon
« on: January 27, 2011, 04:45:04 PM »
From the press release

Amazon.com is now selling more Kindle books than paperback books. Since the beginning of the year, for every 100 paperback books Amazon has sold, the Company has sold 115 Kindle books. Additionally, during this same time period the Company has sold three times as many Kindle books as hardcover books. This is across Amazon.comís entire U.S. book business and includes sales of books where there is no Kindle edition. Free Kindle books are excluded and if included would make the numbers even higher.

Well, my husband bought a paperback book on Amazon yesterday, that means they sold 115 Kindles! Says he doesn't read enough to buy himself a Kindle.  :)

J.K. Rowling had the biggest impact on me in the past decade.

I have to agree with you foreverjuly.

I put mine to sleep every night by reading to it.  :D Not really. I do put mine to sleep each night. I don't think I have ever turned mine off and I have had it now for about 2 years and going strong!

I bought one this summer for a vacation at the lake.  (I like to float with a book---but this year wanted to float with my kindle and also take it on a boat.)  Cons:  It is heavy.  You have to take it out of the case to turn it off or on.  Pros:  I have two boys, a husband who isn't always careful and a rambunctious dog.  It was worth the bother to me to know if I dropped my kindle or the rest of the family bumped it and it ended up in the water, life would still go on.  I'm still hoping for a better solution (one that is lighter and has access to the on/off switch.  But for me it was worth it.  (And it was a heck of a lot lighter and took up less room than hauling 14 books to the lake.)
Thank you grjag! I have read about the power switch and charging where you have to take it out of the cover first. That is understandable it being waterproof. I ordered mine the other day and should be getting it tomorrow or the next day. I look forward in reading again while taking a bubble bath. In the past I have put it in a ziploc bag when I was at the beach or floating in our pool. I will let you know what I think when I get it.
