For me, it's under the MyKboards heading up top. Does that help?

Just download one of the temples at Createspace: https://www.createspace.com/Help/Book/Artwork.do

Once you know how many pages your book is, you just download the template and start designing.

Writers' Cafe / Re: Createspace: Erratic Reporting. Can anyone relate?
« on: January 26, 2018, 03:06:54 AM »
Are some of the Expanded Distribution sales because they only come in batches toward the end of the month. Usually around the 25th to 27th of the month. I got one batch for one title yesterday.

Thanks for letting us know. One way to protect our accounts is with two steps verification

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201962420

It works because it's device dependent, anybody can get my password regardless of how complex, but if they don't have the device to which Amazon, or my bank, or my credit card company would send the one time code to verify is really me, they aren't accessing my account.

One warning about turning on the two-step verification... I did that about a month ago and was locked out of all my accounts for close to two weeks! The problem? I never received any of the codes to log into my accounts. They just never came despite all of my info being accurate. I contacted Amazon several times and no one was able to help me. If you do a search on Twitter, you'll see lots of people are having similar issues. I eventually had to do a reset on my account to restore access. It was... infuriating to put it mildly.

The annoying thing is my paperback sales in Canada are significant (I suspect based on rankings). With Createspace, I have no way of distinguishing between Canadian vs. US sales.

That's a good point, too. I never really thought about that. How annoying that we can't tell.

Writers' Cafe / Re: Anybody else get a lot of returns today?
« on: December 20, 2017, 12:16:27 PM »
I'll say this. It is a lot of work to return a Kindle book. A lot of work. Nobody's doing this by accident. They have to be motivated. In my case, the motivation was the accidental purchase of a scam book that contained no content in English.

The people doing the return-book scam might be able to afford to buy the books they wanted if they put their time and energy into doing something useful.

It actually only takes 3 clicks to return an ebook. Go to account, content and devices, navigate to the book and return for refund.

I think what they may have done is limited the view to those of us that live in different countries. I live in Canada, but spend the majority of my time on the .com site unless I'm shopping for a paperback or movies. Before, I could see which books are in KU and now I no longer see anything. It just gives me a buy option with no indication that it's even available for KU. But if I navigate to the same book on the Canadian site, it shows as being in KU and that I can "Read For Free" with both buttons visible.

The same can also be said for their iOS app. It used to give me an indication that they were part of the program and now there's nothing.

For the record, I'm not subscribed to the program so maybe subscribers see something else altogether.

Yeah I didnít care about the books either but since I saw your post, I answered. The thing is it only let me pick one not 3 so not sure whatís going on with the survey.

Yeah, this is total bs.

Iíve actually been toying with the idea of having special editions of my books and making them available to mailing list pps etc. Kinda like covers I would have done but would have had an impact on sales otherwise.

Writers' Cafe / Re: Any problems with Babelcube these days?
« on: October 23, 2017, 03:09:35 AM »
Unlike the others, I haven't had any issues with Babelcube. I've been paid what I'm supposed to be, which, isn't much but it's regular. And all the buttons seem to work for me and always have when I've cared to look at sales.

I've been waiting for this. Two questions:

1. Will the license be for one computer only or, if I buy a new computer in the future can I then load it onto that one as well?

2. Will it support all versions of Mac OS? (Snow Leopard, Lion, etc) Or only the current OS?

21
I would disagree. I think there are quite a lot of cozy writers producing books that are nearer 50-70k and doing reasonably well. I think Amanda's are fairly short?

I was going to say the same thing. Sales ranks prove otherwise. Lots and lots of stuff around 35-50k doing very well. Amanda writes all over. Does shorts, novellas and 90k stuff. Sheís always said that the longer stuff does better, though.

Writers' Cafe / Re: Do you prefer long or short chapters?

I prefer shorter. My average is about 1800-2500.

Writers' Cafe / Re: How long do your editors usually take?
« on: September 20, 2017, 05:49:04 AM »
Judging from what I've read online 1-4 weeks seems to be the norm. I've had 2 editors now take an awful lot longer than that and wasn't exactly thrilled with it.

Uh that doesn't make any sense. I haven't had any issues. Is it just possible that the banking information entered is incorrect?

Edit: with Royal
