What Food Is Elfhunter?
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:59:20 am »
I may have mentioned my dirty little secret before, but if I haven't here it is. I love good books. I love Elfhunter and anything else with the name C.S. Marks stamped on it. And NO she doesn't pay me to say that, I really mean it! I love Raven's Heart by M.S. Verish because it's fantastic!

I do however have a guilty pleasure - drekky paranormal romance. So yes, my name is Nancy Roberts and I like drekky paranormal romance.

While I was coming clean to Archer about one of the books I was reading I decided to fall back on the tried and true food analogy. I told her it that some of the books like to read are like getting a hot dog from QT (or 7-11 depending on your geography). It's not good, but still delicious. Her books are more like a filet minon from Ruth's Chris.

Our collective wheels started turning and we got curious as to what food analogy everyone here would compare Elfhunter to.

So step into our silly world for a moment and tell us what food you would compare Elfhunter to.
My all time favorite author in the world!!

I liken it to something like Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee the first time I tried it...I didn't know what to expect and had no idea there was anything in the world that good, that smooth or that addictive.  Like Archer's books, if you had Blue Mtn coffee for a while (say 4-5 books worth) and got used to having it every day, and then if you were to have to stop drinking it (say, while they were coming out with the next crop) for several months, you would feel it.  You would miss it.  You would want more, more, more.   ;D

Y'know, Brew, whenever I feel depressed, I should read all your posts. You make my day every time. I'm working on the new novella...I think it's going to be more like a shot of espresso--a quick treat, but memorable.  :D
