Kindle Fire HD 7" Battery
« on: February 04, 2013, 04:30:48 pm »
I have been noticing that when the battery gets down to around 30 - empty, that it goes down to the teens overnight. Why does the battery drain this quickly when it gets to the lower numbers?

If you have wireless on, it will do syncs for the books and apps you have loaded and check for new stuff.

I do keep wireless on all the time. That could be it. Thanks, Ann!  ;D

Your supposed to drain the battery right down to 0 and then a full charge up to 100 once in a while to recalibrate the battery life sensor as well

I've heard that theory/fact as well as not going down to 0, but draining to the teens, on a discussion group. I try to go down at least once a month to the teens on my iPads, & that seems to work. At least I hope it has been recalibrated. I try to to the same with the Fire. Your method may very well be what I should do. Have you had any problems draining the battery to 0?
