I think they have the dates wrong on the front page, but when I clicked on it, the form had the correct dates for March.

Thanks for the reminder! Mine are enrolled! :)

I just see info about the summer sale at Smashwords.

Go to your Dashboard. Under the Metadata Management heading there's a link for the sale - Manage site-wide promotions. All the details are on that page.

Just saw the promo page. I see that free books are automatically enrolled, which is great for my series' loss leader.
    Looking forward to the promotion.
Thanks for the heads up!  :)

Does this mean I screwed up by scheduling my Freebooksy ad. for 5/6 March, since there will be a huge deluge of additional free books on offer that will prevent my book getting into the top 100 free? Getting into the top 100 was my aim in placing the ad.

    Bugger!

The books in this sale are ONLY discounted at smashwords through a coupon, not on Amazon or anywhere else (it could still affect you I guess, if lots of freebooksy visitors go to smashwords, but probably not as bad as you are thinking)

The cool think about this promotion is it is coupon based so it does not trigger Amazon's price match policy. You can leave your price alone on Amazon and offer the discount over there. Might help reach that audience. :)

I (of course) join, as I always do. I've been #1 and #2 in Gay fiction in previous promotions, so I'm hoping to get there this year too.

All my books are 50% off, apart from the first books in the series which are 100% off.

also, if you'd like to be linked on my post on my blog, send me a message with your links. Only thing I won't link is erotica.

My new release, Murder Under Construction, is the first in my new series, and I set it to free.

I've had good responses to coupons, and my direct sales at Smashwords have been up lately, so I'm looking forward to this promotion.

Utterly underwhelming. I must be missing something.

Yeah, very underwhelming... Also, there are a lot less books participating this year than there were in previous years. Quick estimation of the titles in my genres tells me less than half of last year's titles.

This year I'm actually tracking how much I'm giving away of each book and it's going very slow. Last year with fewer books I gave away a lot more...

Ditto. Given away 6 of my freebie, and no bites at all on my 75% off. Bummer.  :'(
