A nod to Preston and Child's book series
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:46:38 pm »
This evening's NCIS has an FBI Special Agent (Leia) Pendergast as one of the main characters of this episode.  ;D

Also a reference to Star Wars. ;D ;D.

I'm looking forward to the release of the next Pendergast novel later this November.

Did you catch NCIS last week: a reference to Doctor Who -- young Ducky -- who looks a lot like Illya Kuryakin ;) -- was given a bow tie with the comment : you're a medical doctor now, not Doctor Who. Which was aslo funny 'cause it was a bow tie. :D

Also The Mysteries of Laura totally referenced  The Princess Bride. :)

I wonder how many folks get some of these references?

I've got the next Pendergast novel on pre-order. ;)

The Kindle version? How'd you do that? All I can find is the free preview and the Audible version.

    Huh. You're right . . . . I thought that was one I'd pre-ordered but it's not. :(  Wonder what I was thinking of? :)

    Sorry for the confusion.

(It's a Hachette title, so that's probably why no pre-order.)

I just discovered Preston and Child's Pendergast series. I love it. Just finished the third one--The Cabinet of Curiosities. Now I'm starting Still Life with Crows. Love the creepy darkness to them.
