Permafree: Is it still the same process?
« on: November 19, 2014, 04:40:38 am »
I'd like to make the first book in my series permafree.  Is the process still the same in November of 2014, which is to click on the "tell us about a lower price" link at the book's product page at Amazon?

Thanks for your help?

I think, technically, yes, that's still the process. But I had no luck with that, personally. In the end I sent KDP customer support a politely worded email, asking them to change it, and providing links to where it was free elsewhere. They did it for me right away, with the caveat that they reserve the right to change it back at any time.

    Update:

I sent them a nice email yesterday, letting them know my book is free at all the other sites.

I woke up to my book being permafree this morning!

    So that was easy!

    Thanks!  :)
