It's pretty common for me to receive several emails from ebook authors who I don't know anything about. Basically, they ask me if I'm interested in writing a book review for their Amazon website. Back then, I simply discarded the emails. But now that I published my first book on Kindle, I've grown a little curious. I'm trying real hard to promote my book for free. Do these emails actually work or are they ineffective towards potential buyers?

Do you mean authors are coming across your Amazon reviewer profile and using your public contact info to offer you free review copies?

    Yeah, that's the one.
