Hey all!  My friend, Archer, suggested I give this a try.  I don't have a Kindle (yet), but do have the books.  Well, I am also the mapmaker.  I haven't read the books in awhile, so this sounds like a great opportunity for me to enjoy them all over again.

Hey, welcome to KindleBoards!  How exciting to have the mapmaker here with us!  And you NEED a Kindle!

I love maps!!!

Oh my gosh, just minutes ago I was trying to decide what book to read next. Then I decided I should read Elfhunter.  On a whim I came to kindleboards (usually I only make it to the free book page as school keeps me very busy but on spring break this week) and look what I find!!! An Elfhunter book club!

I look forward to dropping in and seeing what people have to say as I start school on Monday and don't know how much time I will have to stay on top of the reading. Not to mention taking time out to take the nieces (2) and nephew (1) to Greatwolf Lodge on Wed/Thur next week so lots of reading to do before Monday!

I should call my sister, I gave her the signed dtb that I received.
So many good books, so little time!

My Bentley is a Brussels Griffon. I made my living for the past 14 years by owning a Doggie DayCare.
We retired last March (hard to believe its been almost a year).  We now do it out of our house but
on a much smaller scale..  Our speciality is small dogs.

I really like the long-coated ones. I have an ancient Yorkie, two Cheewees (long-coated), a toy Aussie, a JRT, five Corgis, and assorted farm dogs. (whew!)

    CARMYN, Ol' Shoe!

Hey, guys...she's being WAY too modest. This is one of my best friends ever, and she drew all the maps in the books.
We were room-mates in grad. school. We actually witnessed the premiere of the dreaded animated LOTR movie together.
    (shudder!)

We be sisters separated at birth!

(Hi, Betsy. We are so happy to have you join us. You should show Carmyn some of your quilts. I mean, WOW.)

Well any good friend of yours is automatically and immediately a friend of ours.
It looks like we will have a great time with this book club.
I will ask my special friends if we can get an ElfHunter Book Club banner made - like the ones in my sig line.
    Just sayin....

Well I will try to keep up but things are just hectic with School and driving and son getting a drivers license, sick bird and sick dog.   And so on and so on.   However I will check in when I can.

I was very happy to see I'm staying "just" ahead of the spoilers so far.   ;D  I liked it too; I'm not one for conflict for "too" long between characters I like.

Ok, Archer...you've extracted your first tear.  It took all the way through Elfhunter and 73% of the way through Fire-heart, but when Gaelen came back from seeing the Scourge for the first time and put her head on Finan's shoulder it got me.  I do love a book I can "feel" as well as read.

Awwww. I love a fella who's not afraid to admit that he's a little tender-hearted.

There are a few of those moments in the books for me...but most are at or beyond where you are now. There is a scene in Fire-heart, and another in Ravenshade, that gets me no matter how many times I read it.
    Thanks for sharing.

I've seen the movie a number of times, but never read the book.  Just might have to add Gone With The Wind to my TBR stack!

I have never done a book club before but this sounds like a fun group.  I just downloaded the book, thanks Archer for giving a page count in one of your posts, that's handy to know.

I've seen the movie a number of times, but never read the book.  Just might have to add Gone With The Wind to my TBR stack!

If you have only seen the movie, you simply must read the book.  You will absolutely love it.  There is so much more to the story than what is shown in the movie.  Move it to top of the TBR pile!
