Kenneth Branagh as Poirot???? Scary. But otherwise, an intriguing choice of the cast.

I think Mr. Branagh may have to add a few pounds to play the part?

Padding can be added . . . . but he's too tall and his face is the wrong shape.  :(

David Suchet *IS* Poirot, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm also concerned that they seem to be focusing on big names in the parts vs using unknowns and letting the STORY be the thing.

    I guess we'll see.

Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Judi Dench...?

This sounds painful. One of Hollywood's biggest problems in storytelling, imho, is story getting trampled by stardom. Ann already touched on that point, but it's worth repeating. I guess they've created a system where they need the big names to sell tickets, but storytelling in film suffers if you're watching a movie and part of your brain is mumbling to you all the while "That's Harrison Ford up there... playing Harrison Ford... and there's Jesse Eisenberg... playing Jesse Eisenberg."

Stardom doesn't allow an actor to vanish into a story. I wish Agatha Christie would rise from her grave like an avenging zombie and deal with this project.
