Congrats to Cubs and Cleveland fans

For me, I'll be behind the Cubbies.

It's awesome that both towns have a great baseball team this year, since they apparently DON'T have football teams! :o ;) ;D

I'll be pulling for the Cubbies, in part because I was born in the Chicago 'burbs, though almost 40 years in NJ has me more of a Phillies fan now (when they actually have a real team), and in part because they're the National League team. :)

Wooo Hoooo .... World Series .... I went to law school & lived in Cleveland for 9 years. You could look down on the field from my office .... I'll be pulling for the Indians  :D :D :D
I was so happy when the Cavs won the basketball title this year. Ever so hopeful for the Tribe now.

I'll be pulling for the Cubs, mostly due to them being the National League Team. But don't think I'll be upset no matter which team wins. Wouldn't mind seeing it go the full seven games, either.

So many Cubs fans in here.  Too bad you will all be disappointed  when Clevelanders get our 2nd championship of the year! :)

Big Cubs fan here. I can't wait for the series to start. I'm way too paranoid to predict a Cubs victory--however, they were the best team in baseball for most of the year.  ;D

If I can get off of work Saturday (which is possible because its our slow season), I'll be going up to Progresdivr Field Saturday for a Game 4 Watch Party.  My buddy scored some tickets.

Despite the fact I live in London, England, I'm a baseball fan. Only problem? Baseball is no longer shown -- it used to be, at about 2 a.m. -- on any regular TV channel in the UK, only on a satellite channel that I don't subscribe to. So I guess I'm going to have to watch this series when it shows up on YouTube.

As to who I'm rooting for ... Go Cubs!

What about radio? Could you possibly find a radio station (international?) that carries the games?

Some of my memories from childhood are listening to the Orioles and White Sox games on the radio.

Well I grew up in Cleveland.  Moved in 1967.
When I was a kid we went to the games when the Yankees came to town because they had all the good talent (big payroll).  Fun to watch such good ballplayers.
We were still living off the glory days of guys like Bob Feller, etc.
And we had the memories of the Browns winning the NFL championship the first year they were in the league.  Fun watching Otto Graham quarterback and Jim Brown running the ball, in football.
Long dry spell or poor teams, especially when the original football team was moved to Baltimore to become the Ravens.

I was there at Progressive Field Sunday night for the watch party.  It was a fun time, but I really badly wanted them to pull it out in Game 5 so I could be downtown for the celebration. My buddy tried to convince me to call off work tomorrow so we could go up there tonight, but I don't have it in me to do that.  I'm really tempted, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm not going to do it.

Happy that the series has been hard fought -- definitely NOT boring.

    Game 7 tonight at 5 p.m. . . . .

Every year (whether my team is in or not - and mine is definitely NOT this year ;) ), I always want a 7-game World Series!  I just think that's the way it should be at this level of play, evenly matched.  Great baseball being played, very exciting.  Good luck to everybody!!
