Why visit Arby's when you can enjoy one of these babies at home?

That's a very offensive photo.  Clearly, those vegetables suffered greatly when they were tortured as they burned alive on a grill.  I had to censor it in the quote so as not to further the offense.  This is vegetable murder porn!!!

Apologies. To my knowledge, no veggies were tortured, murdered, or even tickled in the preparation of the following meal...

Colin - I'm a fellow Brit! (Tho relocated to Italy, where the chips are served with mayo. Shudder.)

Okay fellow Brit, Clare. Or are you now classified as a Britalian? Whatever, they also put mayo on their chips in Holland and Belgium. Have these crazy people never heard of salt and (malt) vinegar?

Noooo. Are you vegetarian or something? What about just having the chips??

Colin - I'm a fellow Brit! (Tho relocated to Italy, where the chips are served with mayo. Shudder.)
Nope. Celiac disease. I'm happy to eat animals and fishes and potatoes. Just not ones that have been drenched in gluten. :(

Well, I would be happy to eat them if they didn't make me very sick. This is karma for my having been skeptical of people with food sensitivities.

ETA: I can eat chips if they aren't cooked in the same fat as floured stuff like the fish. And mayo with chips is quite good but aioli is even better. ;)

Malt vinegar has gluten so even more reason for using aioli. Otherwise I'm stuck with (gag) ketchup.

The Event That Shall Not Be Named is happening just around the corner from me.  Seeing as how I am sick today, how lucky I am.  But, now I'm calculating whether I should try to eat Arby's or stick to soup.  If I went to Arby's, I wouldn't have to get out of the car.  If I can't eat Arby's, I could put them in the fridge and think about them.  Might be a viable option.  There's almost nothing Arby's can't fix.

All food sources are shrinking.  Even the dog and cat food cans are getting smaller.  They think we don't see.

Malt vinegar needs to be especially imported (or rather, put in your checked in luggage on Ryanair). Luckily for me, I have a stash, kindly bequeathed by returning Brits. Other difficult-to-find items: colmans mustard, stilton cheese, decent ketchup, mince pies and hot cross buns. (OTOH, Italian cuisine is, well, pretty fabulous.)

My commiserations. Celiac disease sounds like a royal PITA. Well, chips with aioli is must be!

Indeed it is a PITA. Can't eat anything, even chocolate, without checking the label first. Fortunately both whisky and wine are gluten free, so it could be worse though.

Um...discussion is getting a LITTLE more political and a little less fun and games.  Let's move away from actual commentary and back towards Arby's.

We have a Roy Rogers nears us, but it's not the same....

Garnish. Totally fresh and unmolested in any way.

    I swear.

I had similar problems when living in Spain. But luckily Gibraltar was close at hand and Brit fodder was readily available. I agree with you about (genuine) Italian cuisine - top notch!

And yet apparently genuine Italian bolognese doesn't include herbs or garlic. Disgustin' behaviour.

The Drawing of the Three! Absolutely...I'll take lobstrosities and tooter fish popkins over this divisive hoo-rah any day of the week.

Tooter fish popkins... you have a great memory!

Sorry to hear about your food issues, JR. But at least you can enjoy a good single (or blended) malt and a glass or three of Shiraz without too many probs. Cheers!

BTW. Books are moving quite well right now, but I'm sure that something pond-side is still screwing up today's sales. It's a mystery...

And I think they call it ragu in Bologna.

    I swear.

Garnish?  Unless the whole plant is there on the table, that "garnish" was horribly amputated from the plant's body in order to be placed on that plate.  The horror continues!!!

    Maybe?
I haven't made any sales this month, though last month was a pretty good month.
I don't think it has anything to do with politics, though. At least...it wouldn't stop me from reading.

I'm in Egypt at the moment, and there's no Arby's or any other chain restaurant in this town. But a dude brings fresh koshary on a handcart in the morning, and in the evening, waiters catch fish from the sea next to the restaurants and serve it straight up.
