Geek Squad Rocks!

Just saying...

My laptop came down with *something* and thank goodness I'd just finished a major project. Took it in last Sunday morning, they diagnosed (and replaced) the bad hard drive for about $70, and I just picked it up. Aggravation to re-install my audio software (I'm VO-ing several books currently) but otherwise, it's like a brand new machine.

Oh, and the tech who worked on my device says he'll be in at 4:30 am tomorrow morning, too, working on Thanksgiving. At least, he says he'll get overtime.

Love tech gurus cuz I just want to turn it on and off, and press buttons in between times, LOL!

Thanks Betsy. I was sweating it. The laptop had Windows 7, and they couldn't reinstall that because the drivers are no longer available. So they installed Windows 8 and I wasn't sure my avid (audio) software would play nice. But...the past hour, it's been downloading and updating and seems to be installing properly. Paws crossed!
