Audio Books from Chirp
« on: January 07, 2021, 02:39:03 pm »
I got an email today from BookBub with Audiobook deals from some place called Chirp.  It has audiobooks at discounted prices without needing a subscription.  Some of the sales were pretty substantial.  I ordered one just to try it.  You can download their app to an Apple or Android device and there is a (poorly rated) skill for Alexa so the devices can stream the book.  I figure it's worth a try for at least one book.

I got Glass Houses by Louise Penny for $3.99 thinking maybe I can get into the series better if I listen to it instead of trying to read it.

I just tried this, also. I got The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth for $3.99.  I didn't realize there was an Alexa skill. Thank you. I'm reading slower and having more trouble with my eyes as I get older, so I thought maybe audio books would help. I used to listen to them in the car before I retired.

I've gotten a bunch of books from Chirp over the past several months.
I also have a few audiobooks in my BookFunnel library.
And a bunch in mp3 format that I use another app to play (I could use any of several mp3 player apps or even import into iTunes).

The only problem is remember what book is in which app. :-)
