Pre-Orders now available at Nook Press
« on: January 29, 2015, 11:23:22 am »
I just received an email from Nook Press informing me that I can now set a future publication date for new books and the order will NOT count as a sale until the publication date. Trying to coordinate a release date among all the resellers has been difficult in the past, but this will make it much easier. Well done, Nook Press!

    Cool.

Although, the timing does make make me feel every so slightly dopey considering I have another thread complaining about the lack of progress on the other platforms.

Oh well, not the first foot-in-mouth experience I've had.   ;D

What? No oinking demands that you set up your pre-order via some Byzantine series of updates and deadlines? Madness.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I just tried to set up a preorder on the Nook site and it said I can't set a publish date later than today. Did Nook remove the feature, or am I doing something wrong?

You have to email them to have the feature activated.

You have to email them to have the feature activated.

This doesn't always work. I emailed them asking for it to be activated, and they replied back with a copy and paste from their website stating that the feature is only for certain authors and not available for everyone.
