Swagbucks isn't doing anything for me today.  Last night was good, even though I didn't have any codes.  I did some internet searching through Swagbucks this afternoon and tonight, but nada Swagbucks.

yeah, all I've gotten the last couple of days was two or three for signing into the toolbar and around 15 or 16 for one search....  other than that...  pretty cheap.  I guess they give away less after doing a bunch of swag codes.

I got two 13-pt. amounts much later last night and I got 13 for signing in today.  I do waste time searching for stuff instead of using my favorites toolbar, but I haven't given it up yet.  I think Google searches yield more results when I'm really looking for something.  I'm hoping that some day I'll have more than 3,000 or whatever it is that the $25 Amazon gift card costs in swagbucks.  I have 263 now.

There is no doubt in my mind that Google does give better search results. I usually have two browsers going, and I tend to search in both. In Safari I use Google, in Firefox I used Swagbucks.

It's now 3,150 swag bucks for $25 in Amazon GC. Better than 450 bucks for $5 in GC. I think I will be more patient and wait for the higher value one, though it will take at least six months for me to get it. Right now I'm at 355 bucks.

Yes, I guess I will try to tough it out too for the $25 GC.  I only have 234 at the moment.

This might be a stupid question, but how is the $25 cheaper than the $5 GC?

It's a better deal to wait and redeem for the $25 Amazon Gift Card.

I completely whiffed that one. At 450 for a $5 GC, you can get 5 GC ($25 worth) for 2,250 swagbucks.

    A $25 GC is 3,150
    A $50 GC is 5,900

It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Phew!  I was thinking my brain wasn't working.  I have 421 right now, and I was planning to get another $5 card soon.  I think people would get the higher amounts on gift cards to give as gifts maybe?

I'm going to start designating Swagbucks as my Simon and Schuster fund, since they are part of the agency agreement and they collect tax on ebooks in California.

Oh my.  Then the $5 GC is a better deal.  I wonder if we can buy 5 $5 GCards at one time?

Not sure....  but you would think so.

I just ordered a couple of wedding gifts through their affiliate links.  The first to WalMart may not count....  I used PayPal for payment and they say that doesn't always count toward Swagbucks....  I read the FAQ AFTER ordering.  At least I didn't choose the Ship to Shore option at WalMart... that would have disqualified it for sure.

The second order was through Target.  I used my debit card for that one, so I should get Swagbucks for that purchase.  I was able to snag an online only gift with free shipping, so I'm happy with that purchase.

If I get double swagbucks for both of these purchases, I'll be VERY happy and very close to my first Amazon GC.  :D  (You have to wait up to 32 days though for the SB to credit to your account since some stores make you wait until after the return period is over.)

I trusted Pidgeon's math and didn't figure it myself...

    That'll teach you.  ;)

For whatever reason, I multiplied it by 10 instead of 5. I don't know what I was thinking.

... and I was half-way through the bottle of wine.

I just did a search and got 30 bucks. That's the most I have ever gotten in a search. Only 51 bucks away from a $5 GC!

Hmmmm... I think I found it, but when I entered it it said it it had expired.

OK, I just tried it again and got 10. I saw a note on their wall that said they extended it until 4PM PDT at the lower denomination.

Oh well.... Only 41 bucks to go!

I got 30 points pretty soon after I started searching earlier today.  I have trouble finding codes in the Swagbucks facebook page.  There so many posts on the wall all the time and it takes forever to scroll back to a few hours before.  Also, people post what they searched for that gave them points, as if the reason for the points was what they searched for.

Dana, you said they have hidden code in facebook?  I realize the one for today expired, but how do I find it when it's there.

    I have 311 points now.

Dana, you said they have hidden code in facebook?  I realize the one for today expired, but how do I find it when it's there.

It can be any string of letters or a phrase that just doesn't really belong on the page...  can be at the top, one of the sides, etc.  Today the phrase was under the logo on the left side of the page.  Where it says "Welcome to the Facebook branch of Swagbucks! Relax and stay a while!"  they replaced "stay a while" with the phrase "Yay200k."    The key was to type it in to the SC box and NOT copy and paste or it wouldn't take.

Btw, I've been reading this blog, http://tattooastronomy.blogspot.com/ and he has some good info for newbies on there...  especially in the What You Need to Know section.  He also has screen shots of what all these different kinds of codes/clues look like.

you can get 4 or 5 Amazon GC for a calendar month after that you just wait till the net month and enter it then -- but I only was lucky enough to have that happen one month -- I generally get the $5 Amazon GC's because I am paranoid and figure the price might go up or something - ;)

I was able to copy and paste that code with no problem. Generally, the codes are gibberish. Sometimes you have to go hunting through the blog, twitter, all over.

I just noticed in their blog that you can get swagbucks through their shopping portal for iTunes purchases. I wish I would have known that earlier this week, I just bought about $15 or so of iPad apps this week. That would have gotten me 30 bucks.

You are only allowed (5) $5 cards a month, but that is a lot of points to accumulate in one month. You can still get the cards and just save them on your amazon account.

I think that the GC has to be applied to your Amazon account within 30 days.  Someone mentioned this on facebook and said that it expires after that.
