5 Day Free Promotion
« on: March 13, 2018, 07:24:48 AM »
Has anyone tried doing the 5 day free promotion at gaps (like 1 or 2 days at a time), instead of 5 days together? How do the results differ?

If you're in Kindle Unlimited I believe you only get one free run per enrollment cycle. So if you only use 2 days, you lose the other 3.

I did a 3 day free promotion back in November, and then a 2 day free promotion in January for my latest book in the same enrolment period, so I thought you could split up the days.
I don't think I've done enough promos to compare using the full 5 days in one go, or splitting it up, but I imagine it really depends on which promo sites you use as to the effectiveness of it.

However many days you choose to use for a Countdown Deal must be used consecutively and any days not used are lost, but free days can be split.

I've always split up my days, but I see now that this could be a mistake. My approach is to do at least three and spread it over the weekend (Sat, Sun, Mon). People are in buying mode then.
