KU reports
« on: July 01, 2018, 08:01:14 am »
With everything I've read on the forum about KU reads being greater for one category than another, does KU ever report a breakdown in what amount of reads belong to what category? Or is everyone just guessing that romance or space opera or whatever is a predominate KU read? Also does KU ever report how many reads they have had for a month? Does Ku report how many subscribers it has to KU?
Or is everything internal at Amazon and people only know what Amazon publicity press releases tell them?

Only the gods and Jeff Bezos know those profound mysteries. The rest of us must rely on faith.
This post remains on KBoards over my objections.

I think one way people check which categories are big in KU is to go to the bestseller list of the category in question and see what percentage of the top 100 are in KU. (And how those top 100 books are ranking against the whole store, of course.)
