10" Fire Tablet - No Wi-Fi

Some times, I get messages that a video can't be watched. When that happens, I power off and start it up again. That usually does the trick.

However, this time, the wi-fi is just gone. I can find my modem way down at the bottom of the list and re-enter the password, but I keep getting an authentication failed notice, or out of range, or cannot connect.

I've tried powering off several times, but it's not helping. Even my "for you" screen doesn't have the latest downloads. It shows an audio book that I listened to and read months ago and that's all.

Any words of wisdom out there?

If rebooting the router doesn't help, you could try forgetting that wifi connection and reconnecting. There is (in regular Android) an option to reset network settings, but be aware that will forget all wifi connections and passwords.
