Keen Irvington and Bags in General
« on: August 05, 2010, 01:13:03 pm »
Betsy commented that she liked my messenger bag at the DC area gathering today and suggested I should post it here. So here it is.

I use a Keen Irvington http://www.keenfootwear.com/product/ss09/bags/unisex/lifestyle/irvington/bronze%20green%20!%20iguana!%20golden%20glow, mine is red and brown and does not appear to be available on the website. I have had this bag for three years now and it barely shows any wear and tear. It is larger then a normal purse but not quite as big as a messenger bag. It is a great bag for travel due to its size, carrying capacity, and how easy it is to clean.

My DXG does not fit in the carrying case I bought for my K1, Betsy was sporting it at the previous DC gathering and I really liked it, but it fits in the Keen bag easily.

Some of the features of the bag

- 100% recycled aluminum components
- 100% recycled interior liner
- 100% recycled molded rubber bottom
- Adjustable 2" webbing shoulder strap
- Automatic interior LED light
- Backside zippered slash pocket
- Carabineer key tether
- Exterior side pockets beneath strap anchor
- Front slash pocket hidden under lid
- Interior organization pockets

I like that Keen tries to use recycled materials. It is a solid bag, that looks nice for day to day use, and works perfectly for travel.

I like that bag! I could really use it for my camera and Kindle!

Yup. Keen has a bunch more bags that would probably work for Kindlers. I like their quality and look but I am a Tom Boy at heart so I tend to prefer a bag that looks more rugged.

I got mine at REI. They had a decent selection of their bags there.

Nice .. but not girly enough for me.. but I know a few people who would love this as a camera bag.
