Wizards Unite Players?
« on: November 24, 2019, 04:37:35 am »
Anyone here playing the game? I'm happy to add friends ... PM me and I'll send you my code. :)

I actually wasn't sure I'd enjoy it as I'd started Pokemon but just couldn't get into it. But it is kind of fun ... and forces me to go out more than perhaps my inherent laziness would allow! :D

We can also share tips and tricks, etc.

Ann, I sent you a PM with my code.

I am having even more fun playing Wizards Unite than playing Pokmon Go.

I couldn't get into Pokemon at all ... but I have a fortress and a bunch of inns at the park near my house so I can take a walk any time the weather is good and play. Plus stuff seems to show up in my backyard fairly frequently, too. ;)

Wizards Unite definitely seems to be easier to play near home and seems more accessible than Pokemon Go in rural areas. I got into Pokemon Go as my youngest sister and her family play a lot and my youngest granddaughter was playing it when I started. It didn't hurt that the nearest McD where DH likes to eat breakfast has 2 Pokemon gyms reachable from the dining room. For Wizards Unite those became an inn and a fortress. Score!

I sent you a gift. Hope it has useful stuff for you.

Got the gift, thanks.  Unfortunately I'd already opened my allotted 10 for the day before I saw yours. I'll claim it tomorrow. :)

I joined a couple local Facebook Wizards Unite groups as I am having issues having enough friends open gifts so that I can send enough gifts during events. (Darn that 10 gift open limit!)

Yesterday I went to my first group meeting and had a great time even though only two of us showed up. I got to join another player in fortress battles and we both increased our available fortress levels by two. We both saw how it would be even better with more players. Maybe next time more people will attend and we can finally complete the SOS assignment to complete 3 wizarding challenges with 3 teammates. ;D

Yeah ... I've found some FB groups as well. I have done a fortress with my son but I'm way past him in levels ... 28 and about 1/4 to 29. I think he's around 15 or 16. ::)

It boggles my mind how obsessed some people are. I mean, I play, and I enjoy it, but it's a game -- not a life purpose! ;D

Definitely not a life purpose! The group meeting I attended seems to be intended to be about like the origami club that I attend when I can -- once a month for an hour and a half or so when it works out. I probably play most when I am waiting on something else or when run/walking.

Yeah, I mostly play alone, though I have semi-connected with some relatively local people through the FB groups for when there's something that needs a team.

Today I made a last trip to the grocery store and there were TONS of purple traces in the parking lot. So I was actually able to finish the Christmas Calamity event. I don't make it a priority, necessarily, but when things fall in my lap, I take advantage. :)
