I think we've mentioned it in the 'books by women authors' thread. but a dedicated one is good too!

I confess I wasn't sure what you meant by the title, though -- maybe reference Estelle Ryan, or Genevieve Renard.

And I also saw the alert about it the other day and also pre-ordered it! Boggles my mind some big publisher hasn't picked these up. But good for us as they're so affordable as they are! :D

Yippy Skippy!  One of my favorite series and Genevieve Lenard is one of my favorite characters.  Thank you, Andra!  I have not received an email, nor did I see a mention in another thread, so I'm glad you posted.

You know, even though the word "Connection" is in every title, I have not made that connection  ;) as an overall series title.

    I fixed the subject.
I only have about four series that are "automatic buys" now. Even the JD Robb books go on a wishlist because they are $15 when they first come out and as fast as I read, it's hard to get $15 worth of enjoyment out of them.  I tend go library those at first and wait a year for the price drop to purchase.
I just really enjoy Estelle's characters. They have all grown and changed over the course of the books. At $5.99 they are definitely a bargain.

I'm with you Andra. There are very few auto-buys any more fore me. But Estelle Ryan is one of them. Also Louise Penny -- who I WILL pay full price for.

I used to buy all the St Mary's Historical Society ones, as they were also well priced, but ever since the one with bad formatting that never got fixed, I haven't bought one since.

Most other series I read are 'big publishers' so I can generally find them at the library. A few are Amazon imprints and can usually borrow those via Prime or KOLL.

My full-price author is Tasha Alexander. She usually has a new one oublished around my birthday so I have gift cards. She is late this time - January 2020 instead of November 2019 - so I am saving some Christmas money for it.

Oh, yes! I've only just started that series -- I'm up to number 3, which it looks like I did purchase back in 2012 for a couple of bucks. I should get back to it. But: so many books, so little time! :D

Thanks for this recommendation Andra! I've never read any books by Estelle Ryan before, and it looks like the first one in the series is free right now.

That's who I purchased at full price for the "Buy $20 worth, get a $5 credit" offer yesterday.  Psychologically it worked on me to feel like I was getting the last couple on sale.  I'm all caught up on that series now with the last two added to the MOI.  I don't have as many authors I auto-buy now at any price with new releases.  Jeffrey Deaver with the Lincoln Rhyme series would be one, but then there are at least 3 people on my Kindle account that read that series as soon as available.

I was an auto-buy with the Saint Mary's series as well (even the shorts which I never buy for anyone else) until the poorly formatted one which was never corrected.  Just like Ann, I haven't, and won't, buy another if that one is never fixed and there have been several published since that one - she lost me.  I would absolutely buy Estelle Ryan at higher prices if I had to, but I'm really glad they have stayed reasonable.

Wisteria posted before I finished.  Wisteria, I think you will love, love, LOVE the Estelle Ryan books.  There isn't a bad one in the series and the first one has been permafree since it was published.

I'm up to book 10 in the Genevieve Lenard series, so I haven't quite caught up yet, though I am managing to read them faster than the new ones are published - so I'll get there eventually.

As Ann says, so many books, so little time.  :o

I am currently reading #6 in this series. Only slightly behind I guess  :-X :-\ :o. I own the others already, besides the next new one. I can't believe how far I fell behind. When I first heard about this series from some of you folks, there were only a few ahead I think. I had a pretty bad reading 2019 so I hope I can do better next year.

I think she pushed last year's date back as well.  Still worth the wait, but I was looking forward to the end of the month.

I received an e-mail from Amazon this morning for the "new release" of the Estelle Ryan/Genevieve Lenard and got excited thinking it was coming out on the original day (today) after all.  No such luck.  When clicking through it's still a pre-order for the March 27th release.  :'(

Someone dropped the ball not changing the date on the new release e-mail.

I went out to her Facebook page to verify - it's still pushed to March.
Sigh... I am ready for a new book and that would have been perfect. Instead I am going back through my Mary Higgins Clark books.

    IT'S HERE!!!!!

A little surprised to see it is listed as only 210 pages, slightly short for this series.

This was a fast read. As usual I couldn't put it down after I started reading. I think she is setting up another big baddie for the next book or two.

I haven't started yet -- got to the top of the queue on a bunch of library books so reading them first.

But I love having something on my kindle that I KNOW I'll enjoy. :)
