Problem with cameria on Skype
« on: March 26, 2020, 06:47:04 am »
HI, I am trying to make a Skype call from my phone to my Fire 7.The call come through ok (it's set to auto-answer as it is intended for my elderly father) but the camera is turned off. I can turn it on manually but this isn't ok as he would not be able to manage this. My Skype address is in his contacts list. Any ideas how I can change the camera to be on by default?

You are in luck as the skype app has an option to make the camera to be automatically on when on a call. Open the skype app on the start menu if you have not already pinned the app on the taskbar. Go to menu bar select tools/options/video settings and then click OK. Below the profile picture there is an option "Automatically receive video and share screens with" select everyone or just select people in the contact list only for some safety. Click the save option and as long as you`re not sharing with anyone, your camera is effectively enabled in Skype.
