« on: August 18, 2017, 07:44:23 am »
The Damnation Game is currently priced .99c/.99p on Amazon, or read *Free* with Kindle unlimited. Promo price applies August 18th-23rd.

The living and the dead reside in separate houses; but the walls are wafer thin.

Kate Stringer is a woman in mourning, her murdered husband the latest victim of the notorious Catholic Jack slayer. A nationwide manhunt remains underway, but the serial killer continues to remain elusive. Now, unknown to her, Kate too has been targeted by the maniac. However, other forces are in play. Things moving in the shadows, with an agenda of their own...

From those broken places, where trauma and distress cloister, they watch with accusing eyes. And if they judge us, they may look to share their pain.

A tale of serial killings and supernatural intrigue, The Damnation Game is priced $1.99 on Amazon, or can be read *Free* with Kindle unlimited.

"The boy sits beside the bed, his face pale in the gloom of a single bedside lamp. His hands rest neatly in his lap as he observes the rapid rise and fall of the womans chest. Death rattles her frame with every gasped breath. Tears run steadily down his face, and snot bubbles from his nose, but he makes no attempt to stifle these expulsions. With red rimmed eyes he looks to the clock on the wall.  It is three minutes before seven and through drawn back curtains he sees that outside the sun has finally slipped beneath the horizon, its battle lost to a charcoal sky. He leans closer and gently takes hold a skeletal hand. Only ever built of modest proportions, the boys mother has dropped almost forty pounds in these last eight weeks. Again he looks to the wall, and now the timepiece is easier for him. It is on the hour: seven oclock. Another five minutes yet, and then his mother's life-force will be spent, and she will slip from this world again..."

Kate stirred slowly at first, enjoying the warmth of the body spooning hers; and then, as the clarity of full awakening alerted her to the reality of the situation, her mind raced with a multitude of implausible explanations: The realization of strong arms wrapped around her in a warm embrace held her rigid with shock; not through fear, but more so because she recognized the arms which held her. Joe? she whispered, hoping for a reply she never expected and which never came.

A sadistic killer, his latest target a lonely and vulnerable widow, and an unearthly presence watching from the shadows: The Damnation Game is available in paperback and on Amazon Kindle. The book can be read *Free* with a Kindle unlimited subscription.

Joel stuffed his pockets with notes from the till, totaling almost five-hundred quid. He didnt bother with the loose change. He then pulled his hood up over his head, before turning the neon sign on the door to We Are Closed. As he did so, he stopped and turned sharply, peering into the gloomy interior of the pub as a sudden instinct of not alone overwhelmed him. For an instant he imagined he saw a slim figure fall from behind a cylindrical support column, before scurrying, spider-like, away into shadow. After a moments pause, and having observed no further movement, he decided it had been a trick of the light.
He lit a cigarette to stifle the smell of Merricks opened bowels. He noted too, another sweet, but equally sickly aroma now carried in the air. He turned up his nose at the combined affront to his nasal passages, and then headed for the exit. Stepping out into the cool night air, he dropped the latch on the main door and closed it behind him. The newspapers had identified the area in which Joe Stringer lived. It hadnt proven difficult to narrow this down further; he now knew Kates address.
And he still had business to be concluded, this night
