Kindle Search Failure
« on: August 03, 2020, 01:04:59 pm »
On a book I recently started reading (Harry Starke, purchased from Amazon), each time I search for a word, it doesn't find it. For example:

Note I don't get the "book not indexed" error.

However, when I check for unindexed books, I find that 190 have not been indexed.

Is there any solution to this?

Thanks.

Delete and re-download is the easiest way to get an individual book to re-index.

Yeah, except that I had 190 books that would have needed to be redownloaded (from different sources).

I had an unproductive chat with Amazon, but the problem fixed itself. The number of unindexed books decreased over time, and when it got below 100, the searching started working again.
